NOVITAS

Individuals in Novitas are ranked in military style and include the ranks from General to Lieutenant. Any lesser ranks are involved in the general military police force and are not equipped with the nanotechnology that defines Novitas. Many individuals involved in Novitas have been raised in military schools and have endured training for the majority of their lives. They are highly competitive and are taught that failure is not an option. Some members of NOVITAS go undercover to ferret out dissenters and infected citizens.

the ANANKAI

Individuals involved in the Anankai are typically uneducated but incredibly streetsmart. Due to their VA++ genes, these people are incredibly strong, fast, and carry unique talents and abilities, but suffer physical mutations as well, giving them a more animalistic quality. They live by their own laws and generally live in mid-sized groups containing up to 200 people. They're generally nomadic, jumping from a series of underground shelters they've built in the desert to avoid detection. Having lost most of their roots, many Anankai have lost their surnames. When they do have them, they're usually made up, picked by the person who carries it.

the INFECTED

These individuals generally have not formed any sort of organization, but the oppressed infected can find refuge within the walls of a nightclub named Thalassa, where it's rumoured that a treatment for the Turbinis Strain is being distributed as an all purpose club-drug.

the TERRORISTS

THE PENUMBRA CLUB

The Penumbra Club involves itself in secret activities that involve defacing public property with anti-AU propoganda and blowing up government buildings. They've also been known to disrupt events sanctioned by the AU. Sometimes, fliers detailing the Penumbra Club's agenda are distributed in The Sanctioned Post, the AU newspaper that circulates through AU Sector 01-05. Investigators have yet to figure out how these fliers have infiltrated the news press building, but are on the lookout for additional clues.

ASILE

Asile is a circus that oftentimes deals with inapproprate subject matter. Breaking the language laws for the sake of artistic expression, the silver tongue of the circus' Ringleader is oftentimes the only thing that keeps the circus act out of the ring of executioners. Occasionally, Asile will perform scripted shows at the request of the AU, but these hardly ever go exactly as scripted.
